As the years progressed and my technique improved, my fighting abilities became more efficient. This caused the speed of my promotional workouts to increase, which challenged my cardio capacity even more. I was preparing for the promotions by using intense cardio training and free weight workouts but I still became very winded during the promotions. I was working with a client at the time, in one of the local fitness centers, who was extremely under weight and weak, and decided to try an exercise combination I had used on myself some 20 years ago that added 25 pounds of muscle to my body on just over a year.
